True Genius
Martin Luther and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe are considered two of the most brilliant men in history. The natural reasoning abilities of these two Germans shaped the faith and literature of Germany—and by influence the rest of the world.

Yet their works were vastly different. Luther freed people from the tyranny of the church and led people back to the Bible. Goethe was a libertine who believed in moral indifference. If greatness was judged by spiritual standards, Goethe would have fallen short of a genius in heaven’s eyes.

Spiritual genius cannot be measured by mental acuity or IQ tests. Ellen White explains, “The knowledge of what the Scripture means when urging upon us the necessity of cultivating faith, is more essential than any other knowledge that can be acquired” (The Review and Herald, Oct. 18, 1898).

What then is faith? Faith is trusting God’s Word—that it has supernatural power. The Bible is not merely a history text or an interesting collection of ancient stories. The Scriptures contain life-changing truth. When we truly believe the Word of God as the primary source of knowledge, then we advance toward the highest levels of wisdom on earth.
AFCOE is a biblically based, comprehensive evangelism training program that will teach you to become a spiritual genius, completely trusting in God’s Word as the basis for truth and Jesus' method as your basis for outreach. We hope you'll consider joinging us at one of our events next year—or for our four-month program in the fall of 2017. Explore our website to learn more!
